Caroline supports breakthrough KPMG report launch

On Tuesday, #valuable founder Caroline Casey delivered the keynote speech at the launch of professional services giant KPMG’s landmark report ‘Leading from the Front – Disability and the role of the Board’.

At the event, which gathered business leaders and disability experts in London, KPMG’s vice-chairman Tony Cates called for businesses to appoint a board-level disability champion, to drive forward inclusion strategies in the UK’s biggest companies.

“We’ve seen how the introduction of the mandatory gender pay gap reporting requirements has pushed that issue up the boardroom agenda. We have a real opportunity now to use that focus and energy to engage the board in a broader debate around diversity and inclusion” he commented.

Caroline lent her voice to their campaign, encouraging leaders present to table disability as a board agenda item in 2018, and to realise disability as a significant new brand, leadership and culture opportunity.

The report, delivered in partnership with leading disability charity Purple, spotlights key data points showing the value of disability inclusion in unlocking consumer spending and accessing untapped talent, and provides actionable advice for inclusive business leadership.
